The MQM-178 fills a variety of end-to-end weapons-release roles for surface-to-air and air-to-air training scenarios. Capable of flying a wide variety of speed and performance profiles, the MQM-178 delivers unmatched versatility by providing users the opportunity to test multiple weapon systems with one flexible and affordable aerial target system.

The smallest of Kratos’ aerial targets, the MQM-178 is capable of carrying a combination of internal and external payloads including to targets, scoring, passive (RF) augmentation, and infrared (IR) augmentation (hot nose, fixed flares).

Pneumatically-launched, the MQM-178 provides significantly-reduced operating costs by eliminating the need for expensive Rocket-Assisted Take-Off (RATO) equipment and facilities.
