WFI Government Services, Inc. Awarded Blanket Purchase Agreement to Supply Passive RFID Technology for DoD Initiative

MANASSAS, Va., May 16, 2005 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ — Wireless Facilities, Inc. (WFI) (Nasdaq: WFII), a global leader in the design, deployment, and management of wireless communication networks, technology networks and security systems, announced today that the Logistics and RFID sector of its Government Division has been awarded Blanket Purchase Agreements to provide Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) readers to enable and accelerate implementation of passive RFID technology in support to the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD).

The RFID technology available through WFI meets all of the DoD’s requirements in the fixed reader category. The contracts authorizing DoD agencies to purchase from WFI were awarded by the Army Contracting Agency Information Technology, E-Commerce and Commercial Contracting Center (ITEC4).
