SAN DIEGO, Sept. 7, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq:KTOS), a leading National Security Solutions provider, announced today that its Integral Systems group has entered into a long-term, strategic partnership with South Korea-based KT Corporation to activate an additional satellite interference monitoring, detection and geolocation site in South Korea, and to provide distribution of its Radio Frequency (RF) interference detection and geolocation services in South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Republic of the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Hong Kong and Singapore.
Under the terms of the five year hosting partnership, KT will host a dual 7.3m antenna system, which includes industry-leading RF interference monitoring, detection and geolocation products from Kratos’ Integral Systems family of products. These services include Quality of Service (QoS) RF Performance Monitoring, RF Interference Monitoring, Detection and Geolocation, Service Level Agreement (SLA) Validation, Anomaly Resolution and Link Engineering & Network Planning.
“We are pleased to partner with KT to support the expansion of our state-of-the-art monitoring and geolocation capabilities in South Korea,” said Phil Carrai, President of Kratos Technology & Training Solutions. “In addition, entering into the Value Added Reseller/Distribution Agreement with KT provides us with an extremely capable sales partner in a major growth area of the world. As the region continues to expand, the ability to mitigate RF interference will become even more important to services providers.”
“The new hosting and distribution agreements will allow KT to play a major role in the expansion of Integral Systems’ state-of-the-art global RF monitoring, detection and geolocation capabilities and allow KT the opportunity to be a sales partner for SATCOM Net Ops Services,” said Charles Oh, director for KT Satellite Business Development.
