Retired Air National Guard Major General Albert 'Putt' Richards Joins WFI's Government Division

SAN DIEGO, April 19, 2006 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX News Network/ — WFI (Nasdaq: WFII), a global leader in the design, deployment, and management of wireless communication networks, information technology solutions and security systems, announced today that it has hired Albert “Putt” Richards, a retired Major General of the Air National Guard (ANG), to serve in the Company’s Government Division.

A 38-year veteran of the United States Air Force and Air National Guard, Richards will direct WFI’s Hawaii/Pacific Rim business development efforts. In his role with WFI, Richards’ primary responsibilities include developing strategic business opportunities for WFI, presenting business case rationale, researching strategic advantage positioning and competitive analysis, and determining win rate probability on key government projects and proposals. In addition, Richards will maintain relationships with target customer representatives throughout Hawaii and the Pacific Rim. As part of the Government Division, Richards will serve within the Company’s Technical Resources Sector, reporting to the sector’s President & COO.

Albert “Putt” Richards most recently served as Reserve Component Assistant to the Commander, USPACOM. In prior roles, Richards was Principal Advisor to the Commander for all matters relating to Reserve Forces policies, utilization, mobilization and incorporation into Command requirements. Richards has served in a full time capacity as Director and/or Deputy Director of Strategic Planning and Policy during significant gap periods of assigned personnel. During his tenure and as Senior PACOM military, Richards has served in strategic dialogs aimed at restructuring relationships, force posture and mission sets with the Republic of Korea and the Government of Japan. He has had extensive interaction with senior policy makers at OSD and the U.S. Joint Staff, and he has performed duties as the Area Air Defense Coordinator (AAADC) for the Hawaii and Guam Air Defense regions as well as serving as the PACOM representative to the General Officer Steering Group for Ballistic Missile Defense interfacing with USTRATCOM, USNORTHCOM and the Ballistic Missile Agency.
