SAN DIEGO, Feb 09, 2006 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX News Network/ — WFI (Nasdaq: WFII), a global leader in the design, deployment, and management of wireless communication networks, technology networks and security systems, announced today that it has been awarded a two year contract extension for engineering services from a national wireless carrier with a total potential value of approximately $20 million per year based on project work completed to date.
Under the terms of this contract, WFI will perform RF engineering and technical services across multi vendor platforms and technologies, including GSM, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS as well as E-911 deployment. The scope of work encompasses cellular engineering RF design, RF performance optimization, frequency planning, as well as transport planning and drive testing support.
