Rapidly Deployable Ground Support Equipment
Kratos’ mobility systems provide end users with protected environments for C5ISR mission equipment. These product platforms can be configured for a wide range of applications, including tactical command posts and ground stations. Kratos can design solutions to meet challenging “on-the-move” and Agile Combat Employment (ACE) requirements.
Capabilities & Resources
Kratos has over 100 engineers dedicated to executing complex design requirements for ground-support hardware and mobility systems, including classified programs. Kratos prepares fully integrated system design requirements models with respect to each of the functional and performance areas associated with the systems.
Kratos’ 550,000+ square feet of ground hardware manufacturing space is vertically integrated and fully equipped to fabricate, machine, weld, bond, assemble, and modify specialty C5ISR Mobility Systems. Kratos can manufacture single prototype units up to full-rate production quantities.
Kratos offers system integration and modification services to deliver “rack-ready” solutions. Typical system features include electronic equipment racks; environmental control systems; power distribution; personnel workstations; chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) protection; and sensitive compartmented information facility (SCIF) provisions.
Electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding is a key component of packaging sensitive electronics in specialty mobile platforms, as signature management has become a critical Department of Defense modernization priority. Kratos is an EMI shielding subject matter expert and offers solutions with up to 100 dB high-altitude electromagnetic pulse (HEMP) levels of protection.
Kratos’ ground hardware fabrication operations are ISO 9001 and AS9100 certified and feature extensive mechanical, electrical, environmental, and EMI testing resources. Kratos has extensive experience with full first article testing (FAT), product qualification, and final verification and validation activities.
