Ram Air Turbopump Design & Development
Ramjets and scramjets don’t have the benefit of a jet engine’s turbomachinery power takeoff to drive a thirsty high-pressure pump. Batteries and electric pumps are great for stunts, but they can’t meet the needs of long-range performance. Harnessing that high-temperature stream is almost free with a ram air turbopump. If a customer needs a turbopump that can harness that energy in a compact package, Kratos’ solutions can help extract it.
