The OpenSpace quantumMR (Mission Receiver) is a payload data receiver. It is a complete software defined modem with an all-digital processing chain optimized for performance and pass-to-pass configurability.
Highlights
Based on Kratos’ legacy Multi Mission Receiver platform, it is a robust COTS product that supports standard carrier tracking, demodulation, bit synchronization and digital processing of dual, independent Intermediate Frequency (IF) signal inputs at transmission rates adjustable up to 1.5 Gbps. It provides the flexibility to support different demodulation and processing schemes, and unlike legacy analog implementations, requires no calibration. The soft-programmable implementation allows support for new features without the need to return the product to the factory.
OpenSpace quantumMR supports two independent receive channels, each capable of processing up to 600 Msps. While OpenSpace quantumMR is a hardware solution, it was developed with a virtual architecture in mind. By embracing standards such as Vita-49 and CCSDS, quantumMR is highly compatible with a virtual environment.
A rich feature set supporting single missions or a wide range of science, remote sensing, or commercial communication applications are available as are industry standards such as DVB-S2 and CCSDS.
